Communicate With Comfort and Confidence.

Individualized, affirming speech therapy for adults who stutter—available through telehealth across Texas.

Stuttering can affect much more than speech

For many adults, the hardest parts of stuttering are not always the moments other people hear. It may also involve planning what to say, switching words, avoiding phone calls, staying quiet in meetings, worrying about introductions, or holding back socially.

Speech therapy can help you reduce avoidance, feel more comfortable communicating, and participate more fully in the situations that matter to you.

Therapy focused on the situations that matter most

  • Work

Speak up more comfortably in meetings, interviews, presentations, and everyday conversations with coworkers.

  • Phone Calls

Reduce avoidance around calling businesses, answering the phone, leaving messages, and saying your name.

  • Social Life

Feel more present in friendships, dating, group conversations, travel, and meeting new people.

  • College

Build comfort with class participation, presentations, office hours, interviews, and academic discussions.

  • Avoidance

Work on word switching, hiding stuttering, staying silent, and other patterns that may limit participation.

  • Self-Advocacy

Talk more openly about stuttering, communicate your needs, and decide how you want to respond in difficult situations.

A different approach to stuttering therapy

Therapy is not built around the assumption that you need to eliminate stuttering or achieve perfect fluency.

Instead, we will look at the broader experience of communication: the situations you avoid, the thoughts and emotions that arise around speaking, the ways you may hide or manage stuttering, and the changes that would make everyday life feel more open and manageable.

Therapy is individualized and may draw from communication-participation approaches, avoidance reduction, cognitive-behavioral principles, solution-focused work, education about stuttering, self-advocacy, and practice with real-life speaking situations.

Speech strategies can also be explored when they are relevant to your goals. You will not be pushed toward a single definition of successful communication.

Specialized care from one clinician

You will work directly with Zeb White, MS, CCC-SLP, throughout the process.

Zeb is a Texas-licensed speech-language pathologist with specialized training and experience in stuttering. His background includes graduate training at Vanderbilt University, advanced study and published research at The University of Texas at Austin, and clinical work through the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research.

His approach has also been shaped by years of clinical practice, continued professional training, and meaningful involvement with people who stutter and the broader stuttering community.

Because this is a small, specialized practice, you will receive consistent, individualized care from the same clinician at every stage. Therapy is shaped around your experiences, priorities, and goals—not a generic treatment plan.

Getting started is simple

  • 1. Free consultation

Schedule a complimentary 30-minute video consultation. You can briefly share what led you to reach out, ask questions, and determine whether the practice may be a good fit.

  • 2. Initial evaluation

The evaluation explores your stuttering history, previous therapy experiences, communication concerns, strengths, priorities, and goals.

  • 3. Individualized therapy

Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week 50-minute telehealth sessions. Frequency is determined collaboratively and may change over time.

Ready to talk?

Reaching out does not commit you to therapy. The free 30-minute consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what brings you in, and decide whether working together feels like the right next step.
